 We are surrounded by a vast world full of tasks and responsibilities waiting for us to fulfill. That's why sometimes we also need to rest and escape from these burdens. In the face of the trials and tragedies that exist in the world, there is one place that offers a momentary respite and tranquility— Marieya Resort.

 One day, me and my friends decided to take a break from work and responsibilities so we decided to have a picnic in the local tourism of our barangay, Barangay Santa Lucia where the paradise of Marieya Resort is located. Because we think it's more important to promote our local wealth than distant places.

Marieya Resort is the formerly Maracay Resort used to be owned by Nancy Lacuata but now it is owned by Auril Rey Saturno Duyag. This resort is located in Purok 3, Brgy. Santa Lucia Maria Aurora, Aurora. The name of the resort comes from the name of the dog, Marieya, because of her and her puppies, they rented the entire resort, which is why it served as an inspiration for them to name the said resort after her.

While we were walking we saw children on the street who were really having fun playing pico, chinese garter, and patintero. This is the only way children live here because this barangay does not have a playground. We also saw elderly people planting in the barangay garden because this is where they get their food sometimes, we are happy to see this kind of a barangay project because they are just showing their unity as citizens. Soon we reached the road to the resort by entering Saturno's Farm and Ponds.

If the visitors are only in the nearby barangay, it can be reached within (eight) 8 minutes if the vehicle is a van, and (ten) 10 minutes if a tricycle.

The first step into the kingdom of Marieya seems to be a glimpse into the mystery of the forest. With every step, you feel the singing of the leaves and the joy of the birds flying around. The combined forest and resort provided a special experience as if the harmony of man and nature can be beautiful and meaningful. During the trip, I discovered the hidden landscapes full of coconuts and flowers that show the kingdom of natural resources that can be witnessed in Brgy. Sta. Lucia.

When we entered this resort, we immediately saw two giant statues where we took a selfie before heading to our cottage. According to the owner of the resort, they built these statues to comfort the guests entering the resort.

Our fee for the cottage is 300 pesos while the entrance fee is 35 pesos per person but for children it is 25 pesos. It has two swimming pools, one for children which is medium shallow and one for adults which is not that deep, we also saw that the staff here are really caring because they are always going around to ensure the safety of the people. especially in drowning.

Marieya Resort is open 24/7 and night swimming or staying overnight is also available but with an additional fee.

You can stay overnight at this resort, which has a really nice ambiance because of the lights that look like a park.

We will not lose the slides that really bring fun to our faces because the picnic is not complete without slides, every face from children to adults will really enjoy because it has two slides, one for children and one for adults. You can also rent a ball whose price depends on each size that you can use while in the pool.

When we felt hungry, we bought snacks and drinks to add to our carry-on dishes and rice because this resort does not have specific food vendors. They also have a videoke where families or friends can sing together for a happier bonding that costs 200 pesos. Here we witnessed the joy of families and friends, while singing we could hear the pain and feel in each letter they sang.

Upon entering the resort, you will notice that the motorbikes they sell are really beautiful and affordable because sometimes their prices are negotiable as long as you talk calmly and kindly with the person concerned. Checking the condition of the motor can be done walk-in or online through messenger chats.

The staff here are very caring and approachable. From the moment you arrive at the resort until you leave, they are sure to be kind and treat each other.

When we arrived at the resort, we immediately experienced the warm welcome of the staff. They show their smiles and warm greetings to provide comfort and let you know that you are welcome here. They are ready to answer your questions and needs to the best of their ability.

While we were taking a bath, we briefly forgot our problems and burdens in life. Here we felt at ease and somehow managed to relax a little in its cold water, the stress and heaviness felt in my daily life was relieved and replaced with joy and lightness of heart from the heaviness of feeling. Fascinated by the kindness of the people and amazed by the beauty of this local resort surrounded by trees and leaves.

Visiting this resort is a wonderful experience because it is a relief, a departure from reality, and a way to remember the true meaning of life. In the end, it is not just a journey, but a giving of a new perspective and feelings of contentment and peace.
